D. (Dave) Hadley Showalter

I have been fortunate enough to have experienced a variety of activities and places in my lifetime. This background is what lead me to decide to spend my time doing something I truly enjoy, Photography!

I live in Southern Utah, close to Zion National Park and within a few hours drive of all the other National Parks in Utah (The Mighty 5), in addition to Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, Glen Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. The Southwest has always been my favorite scenic area in the United States, so for me this is a perfect fit. I am a tour guide for a wonderful organization here in the Southwest.

I grew up in the Midwest and often vacationed in New England and down the east coast. I also attended school in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. The reality is you can find different kinds of beauty anywhere in our country if you just go out and look around you. I never go anywhere without my camera because you never know when that next beautiful photo opportunity is going to pop up.

My photos come from both my experiences as a tour guide here in the western United States and my personal travels exploring the landscape of our beautiful planet.
